September 9, 2008 - Tuesday

The trip began with leaving work in the early afternoon on Tuesday, September the 9th in order to make it to Ouray, CO by 6pm on Thursday evening.  That's over 1500 miles and nearly 24 hours of driving.  Nothing too exciting happened here, just drove straight from Toledo to Urbandale, IA which is a western suburb of Des Moines.  I stayed the night at the Sleep Inn Urbandale, which was a pretty nice place to stay the night. This was the first time I had been to Iowa.
